A FORMER assistant manager at Leigh RMI has turned round his new club's fortunes -- while having some luck of his own on the National Lottery.
Two weeks ago David Miller was appointed manager of Stalybridge Celtic, a club fighting against relegation from the Nationwide Conference.
He has already brought the team three wins out of three tough matches and now he has led a 15-strong squad of friends to a £1.3 million lottery win -- netting himself more than £85,000.
He said: "This is the most incredible fortnight I have known."
David took up a part-time job at a plumber's merchants in the East Lancashire town towards the end of his time at Leigh. He encouraged 15 of his workmates to set up a lottery syndicate and they won the jackpot after just three weeks.
