HOW refreshing to see the revealingly hysterical return of Mr W Hill of Skerton to the letters pages of the Citizen.
Here, however, is my contribution towards sending him and his feeble-minded admirers (if any) back to their padded cells again, where they perhaps belong.
Mr Hill trots (!) out the familiar 'old chestnut' about socialism and fascism being the same and about Socialists always being rejected at the polls.
Untrue, Mr Hill!
Recently, several socialists and Marxist organisations have won the following elections (only one seriously criticised as fixed);
President Lukashenko in Belarus(Communist).
The Communist Party of Mongolia.
Moldova and Belarus were/are former Soviet Republics.
People now clearly want the USSR reformed there.
Note also the massive victory for Marxist MDC candidate Muryoade Gurisai in Harare, Zimbabwe, against Mugabe.
His vote went up 10 per cent alone in the MDC!
And, last but not least, note also the huge victory (by postal ballot) of my Marxist union comrade, Bob Crear, in the RMT elections to succeed Jimmy Knapp as GS after the sad death of the latter.
Bob got 13,000 votes, including mine, over three times that of his 'New Labour; rival Bialyk (Tory press supported).
There are, an old Lancashire saying says, 'none so blind as them as will not see.' If it applies to anyone it applies to Mr W Hill and Co.
