MEMBERS of the general public have been invited to attend a series of meetings and urged to put forward their views on possible future developments in Pendle parks.
At each meeting the chairman of the relevant Friends of the Parks groups will give a report about its work over recent months and officers for the parks groups will be elected for the coming year.
A schedule of meetings for each of the groups will be agreed in order to discuss work which each will carry out in the next 12 months.
The Annual General Meeting of the Friends of Walverden Park will take place at 1.30pm on Sunday at the United Reformed Church in Brunswick Street, Nelson.
It will focus on the planning day which it is hoped will be held in early summer.
Friends of Brierfield Park will meet at Brierfield Town Hall, at 10am, on Wednesday, April 24.
Discussions will be held about the general landscaping of the park, a wish list will be developed and talks about the proposed new park entrance will be held.
For further information about any meeting, contact Fred Stewart, parks outreach officer for the council, on 01282 661600 or e-mail at fred.stewart@pendle.gov.uk
