BURNLEY striker Ian Moore will be looking to kill two birds with one stone at Grimsby on Saturday.

The 13-goal star is looking to score the goals to fire the Clarets into the play-offs and also to give his father Ronnie's team - Rotherham United - a boost in their relegation fight.

The Clarets go into the game on the back of a crucial 2-0 win against Gillingham at Turf Moor last weekend and Moore got the scoring underway with his 14th of the season - after claiming the strike from midfielder Kevin Ball.

"It was a hard game on paper and the first goal was critical, but once we had that we were comfortable," said Moore.

The Clarets now travel to Blundell Park with the Mariners scrapping for their first division lives.

Rotherham are also down there fighting to stay in the league, so Ian knows he can do himself and his Father a favour on the east coast.

"It's going to be a difficult game and they always are at this stage of the season, but we could do my Dad's team a big favour there by beating them, as well as ourselves," he added.

"It will be nice to get the three points there and hopefully it will be nice for me to say to my Dad that I scored the goal that might have kept them up."

The £1 million man also feels that three points against the Mariners should be enough to secure Burnley's place in the play-offs.
