CHILDREN and teachers returned to schools across the district this week, to discover thousands of pounds worth of damage caused during the Easter holidays in separate incidents.
Incidents include one at Morecambe High School, which had a window smashed and a fire caused in the kitchen between 9pm and 9.20pm on Thursday.
Five windows were smashed at Morecambe Bay Primary School during the Easter holidays, including a large arch window, valued at a total of £450.
The vandalism took place between March 22 and April 4.
At Ripley St Thomas School, Lancaster a two windows were smashed last Friday night, valued at £ 150.
At Dallas Road primary school, Lancaster, a 3ft x 3ft skylight window, worth £500, was damaged by a person climbing up a wall and onto the roof, between Thursday and Monday.
