A STRONG first half performance laid the foundation for Leigh East Tigers 15-4 win over St Cuthbert's.
Tries from Adam Maguire, Sean McDonald and Ben Taylor along with a Mark Williams conversion put them 14-0 up at half time.
St Cuthbert's pulled a try back in the second half but East settled the issue with a last minute from goal from Chris Penn.
The Tigers gained revenge over Chorley with a hard-earned 10-4 win. East's points came from tries by Daniel Weaving and Carl Fahy with Mark Williams adding one conversion.
East Tigers were just edged out 10-6 by Leigh East. The Tigers led 6-0 at half time with a try from Andrew Keating, converted by Mark Wiliams. East hit back with a try from Danny McHugh and remained evenly balanced until Steve Grundy sliced through to score.
