FIREFIGHTERS used cutting gear to free a car passenger after an early morning crash in Golborne.
At about 5.30am on Tuesday a Vauxhall Nova carrying three brothers was in collision with a pick-up parked on Church Street. The passenger side of the car was crushed by the impact.
Firefighters took the roof off the car in order to release the trapped front seat passenger from the wreckage. The occupants were taken to Wigan Infirmary with minor injuries.
The driver had already got out of the car before firefighters arrived on the scene.
