CELEBRITY chef Nigel Smith is "going live" with a series of cookery classes for keen students to learn from his culinary skill.
Nigel, TV chef and head chef at the Feilden's Arms, Mellor Brook, Blackburn, held his latest class on Tuesday at the Preston showroom of award-winning kitchen specialist Stuart Frazer in Stanley Street.
Due to the success of the first three themed classes, dates for five more have already been pencilled in -- Tuesday, June 11, when the theme will be spring lamb and meat dishes; Friday, July 19, a variety of topics including dinner party menus and healthy options; Tuesday, August 13; Thursday, September 12; and Thursday, October 17.
The day starts at the Feilden's Arms restaurant where the class members -- men and women -- meet for a coffee and are then chauffeur-driven in a top-of-the-range BMW X5 to the Preston kitchen showroom.
The cookery school starts at 11am and Nigel's two-hour class sees him giving expert advice, guiding students through some of his most tempting recipes as he works his magic in a Siematic kitchen. Afterwards class members return to the restaurant to sample the menu Nigel has created.
Anyone interested in attending should contact Barbara Mason at the Feilden's Arms on 01254 812219 or Chris Wright at Stuart Frazer on 01772 204004 to arrange a booking. Cost is £38.95 per session.
