ACCRINGTON Stanley duo Jamie Speare and Barrie Hart will both miss the Lancashire FA Marsden Cup final on April 24.
Stanley take on Barrow at Morecambe but will be without goalkeeper Speare and defender Hart after both were sent off in the first leg of the UniBond League Challenge Cup final at Bradford Park Avenue last night.
Accrington lost 1-0 to a last minute goal from Martin James after battling through with ten men for 78 minutes and then with nine for 49 minutes.
Speare was the first to go on 12 minutes when Durham referee Neil Swarbrick judged he had handled out side his area and then Hart, who replaced Speare in goal, was dismissed on 41 minutes for a foul on Park Avenue striker Jason Maxwell.
The pair are expected to pick up one match bans for straight red cards, but Stanley boss John Coleman did not agree with either decision and said: "They are both going to miss the Lancashire Cup final, so the referee and linesman have ruined the season for two of our players."
Referee Swarbrick defended his position and said: "I have certainly never sent two goalkeepers off in the game before and I don't enjoy having to do it. But we are given guidelines and we have to work within those guidelines."
