THE Journal's distribution controller Bill Andrew was impressed with an entry for one of his competitions for the delivery boys and girls.
The lass's answer to the question "How do you think your job helps you organize your life better?" gives us hope for the future.
The teenager said before starting her round she was shy and lacked confidence, but as a result of the job her personality has taken off. She has made many friends, both human and canine, and because of her polite and happy persona received loads of Christmas presents.
She says she now feels an important part of the community as lots of people she delivers to enjoy and appreciate the paper.
It's welcoming to know that someone can grow so much thanks to a little part-time job, and that not all youngsters are permanently glued to the TV or PC, or out causing misery for others.
