A TEENAGE boy was seen running away after throwing three petrol bombs in a Whitefield street.
Firefighters were alerted to the incident at 10pm on Friday (April 5) when neighbours saw three bursts of flames in Ross Avenue.
It was initially feared parked cars were being attacked by the flame-thrower.
PC John Flowers from Bury's Operational Police Unit, told the Bury Times: "It would appear three milk bottles had been filled with petrol and thrown into Ross Avenue, away from cars and property.
"A youth was seen running away at the time of the incident. There appears to have been no specific target."
