GOOD news for St Augustine's RC Primary School in Lowerhouse Lane. The school has received government funding of £27,299 to improve facilities for pupils with disabilities.

The money should be used for improvements such as ramps, lifts and easy to open doors for children with mobility problems, acoustic loops for deaf children and adjustable lights for partially sighted children.

The money will create further opportunities for pupils with disabilities and ensure they reach their full potential.

THE Railway Club's Easter Bonnet competition was won by Mrs Edna Naylor of Liverpool Road.

She received an Easter egg and chocolates for her efforts. The bonnet was made of daffodils and knitted chicks.

ON Wednesday, April 17 at 7pm, residents are invited to Rosegrove Planning for Teal event at Rosegrove Infant School.

The results and solutions of the previous event held in September should be available on the

night.

ROSEGROVE Railway Club football team has reached the final of the Burnley and District Football League Cup competition.

LOWERHOUSE Park bowling team has started off their bowling season with two 9-1 victories.

The team plays in the Burnley and District Friday Night Bowling League.

The club is looking for bowlers to come and join and play for the teams.

The coffee morning last month was another success and raised more thamn £250 to go to the church funds.

THE social event at St marks Church last month turned out to be as good as ever, with a few games of beetle and bingo taking price of place as part of the nights activities.
