A NEW body to improve the economic, social and environmental quality of life for people in Pendle, will be officially launched on Tuesday.
The first meeting of Pendle Local Strategic Partnership (LSP) will take place at 4pm in the Lecture Theatre at Northern Technologies Conference Centre, in Netherfield Road, Nelson.
The LSP will bring together public, private, voluntary and community sectors to co-ordinate and provide regeneration and service improvements for Pendle people. It will lobby for funding from Government and other external bodies and discuss what is needed to improve people's lives.
The LSP will build upon success already achieved by Pendle Partnership, particularly on regeneration and community development, and Pendle Partnership will be responsible for delivering much of the strategy devised by the LSP.
