MARATHON man Rodger Williams has issued a big "thank you" to his supporters, who helped him raise £2,000 for charity by sponsoring him to run the London Marathon.
Rodger, owner of Videorama video shop in Brownhill, Blackburn, ran his first marathon in three hours 10 minutes, and raised funds for multiple sclerosis.
He said: "It was a big achievement and I want to say 'thank you' to all my customers and people who supported me. It was a great day and a big achievement and I'm really glad I did it."
Rodger said the hardest part was between 15 and 20 miles, when his legs ached, but there was still a long way to go.
"I always said I would save a bit for the last part and that's what I did.
"I did the last five miles faster than I did any miles in the rest of the race."
