A BAKERY charity fund raising idea is 'bearing' fruit for the Hospice Care for Burnley and Pendle initiative.
And now the figurehead for the campaign, Burndle bear, has got himself a girlfriend to help raise even more cash for the charity.
The award winning Oddies bakery has been supporting the hospice for several years and Burndle Bear was introduced as mascot for the hospice lottery two years ago.
He has now been joined by Penny Bear and every one of the biscuits sold through the Oddies shops will swell the hospice funds by 10p.
This is the third year that Oddies have produced these special biscuits and already more than £1,000 has been raised in this way.
