A FATHER of three died five days after his wife found him hanging in the cellar.
Stephen Allan, 43, of Park Avenue, Burnley, was found by his wife Cynthia at 11.30am on Saturday, April 13.
A Lancashire police spokesman said she called for an ambulance and paramedics managed to resuscitate him.
He was taken to Burnley General Hospital but later transferred to the intensive care unit at Blackburn Royal Infirmary.
Mr Allan died in hospital on Thursday.
The couple have three teenage children.
Police say there were no suspicious circumstances surrounding the death. An inquest has been opened and adjourned.
