TWO children under 10 were caught by firefighters and returned to their homes by police after an arson attack on an industrial mill.
The youngsters were spoken to by officers following the blaze at an unoccupied mill unit in Lonsdale Street in Nelson after a resident raised the alarm at 5.30pm on Saturday.
Station Officer Nick Isherwood of Nelson Fire and Rescue said: "Kids had been inside and up to no good. It lt looks like they had set fire to rubbish and palettes which had done some damage to the timber structure.
"We caught the kids and the police came and gave them a severe talking to and took them home to their parents."
A police spokesman confirmed: "Two children under ten were returned to their home addresses. We think they may have been responsible for the fire."
