THE Chippendale School of Dance will stage a major show to raise money for charity at Pendle Hippodrome Theatre, in Colne, at 7.15pm on Saturday and Sunday, May 4 and 5.
More than 80 pupils, ranging in age from two and a half to 64, will take part in the all-singing and dancing revue 'Showstoppers' which will include extracts from Barnum, Wizard of Oz, Me ad My Girl, Annie Get Your Gun, Singing In The Rain, 42nd Street, Oliver, Chorus Line, Sweet Charity and Mack and Mabel.
There will also be an excerpt from The Full Monty by the male dancers.
Previous school shows, staged every two years, have raised more than £12,000 for charities.
The proceeds from 'Showstoppers' will go to the Royal Manchester Children's Hospital in conjunction with the Sarah Heyworth Leg Fund.
Sarah, who now lives in Chorley, is a former pupil of the dance school. She had to have a leg amputated after it was discovered she was suffering from cancer. A fund set up to raise money for a sports limb for her exceeded all expectations so all extra cash raised now goes to the hospital where she was treated.
Tickets for the show, priced £5, can be obtained from the dance school, in Colne Commercial Centre, in Exchange Street, or from Colne Market Greenhouse, from Saturday.
