TRANSCO Lancashire League champions Bacup needed less than 16 wickets to take the Colne Trophy in spectacular fashion against Worsley Cup holders Ramsbottom.
Ramsbottom were without Mike Haslam, Lee Daggett and Simon Read, their two opening bowlers and their first-change bowler, but it was the batsmen that let the side down.
Pro Michael Clarke was run out when he was going well on 48 and a lower order collapse meant the home side reached only 88.
Bacup's Dominic Ayres and the pro Shaun Young then scored 40 and 45 respectively to reach the target with little trouble.
Young had earlier done the damage with the ball, taking three wickets for just seven runs, and Steve Crowe helped out with three wickets for 41.
"We had players missing but that is no excuse," said Ramsbottom team manager Mick Everett.
"Our pro batted well in difficult circumstances but Ayres and Young smashed us."
