FOOTBALL star Colin Hendry's wife is said to be stable in hospital today after contracting septicaemia more than a week ago.
Mother-of-four Denise, 35, was taken to the Royal Preston Hospital on Friday April 12 after contracting the blood infection after a routine operation at Broughton Park Private Hospital, Preston.
She is in the critical care unit where a hospital spokesman today described her condition as "very poorly but stable."
Former Blackburn Rovers player Colin, 36, has been keeping a bedside vigil.
