LANDLORD Gary Morgan and his wife Anne have taken over running the Black Swan in Todmorden town centre.
It is the second pint-pulling year for the couple who jumped at the chance when the business was offered to them.
Gary said: "The original gentleman from Reaga owns about twenty pubs in the area but was advised by his doctor to take things easier so he decided to sell some of the pubs he owned and offered us the Black Swan as sitting tenants.
"We had a quick chat but it didn't take us long to agree. It is a move we have certainly not regretted and I love waking up to the sight of the hills.
"Being a southerner, I got some stick from the customers because of my accent but we all get on well now. The people of Todmorden are really friendly and do anything to help. It seems to be in their nature."
The couple hope to put on food through the day and welcome all new customers.
