A BATTLE of the DJs is in full rhythm at The Bridge Inn, Church Street, Accrington, with a chance of a permanent residency up for grabs.
East Lancashire hopefuls have been turning the tables since the beginning of April to find the best DJ of the year in the area.
The launch of the competition, which runs until June, featured special guests and winning DJs from 2000 and 2001, Danny T and Nick Sutton.
Nick said: "Winning last year was great for me. The residency at The Bridge gave me the opportunity to play every week in front of different people which is invaluable for any aspiring DJ.
"Although the crowd were not always receptive to the style I played, the experience I gained will help me in other venues."
Heats are on Thursday nights and have already featured DJs Scott Groove, Danny Gardner and DJ Destin E.
The overall winner of the competition will receive a professional mixer supplied by NP Communications, of Burnley.
They will also get more than £100 in cash and music vouchers.
