POLICE are warning residents of Turton and Belmont to be vigilant after two burglaries.
Early on Friday, two men were disturbed breaking into a home in Vale Street, Turton. They fled the house and were seen to drive off in a F-reg burgundy car, possibly a Ford Sierra.
A Compaq laptop computer had been stolen. The men were described as aged 18-21, 5ft 10in, one was slim with a pock-marked face and light brown hair, the other was of medium build.
Then, around the same time, £1,600 of property was stolen from a house in High Street, Belmont.
The burglar was disturbed but had already stolen two Nokia mobiles, several cheque books and credit cards and a Sony camcorder.
He was described as white, in his late 20s to early 40s, with short brown hair.
