VICTORIAN values returned to the Royal Bank of Scotland on Friday when staff donned period costume to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the Blackburn branch.
Customers were invited for refreshments and to view a special display of a century of banking.
The Blackburn branch on King William Street opened in spring 1902 as Williams Deacon's Bank under its first manager, Richard Bond.
In 1910 the branch moved to Church Street before returning to King William Street in 1975. It adopted The Royal Bank of Scotland name in 1985.
