I READ in the Lancashire Evening Telegraph about the daffodil problem in our town. I agree with Mr Crane about the situation.
I spent a few days in Ireland last week, and could not help but compare what happens there to Blackburn. Everywhere I went, in Co Down and Co Antrim, there were thousands of the beautiful spring flowers, apparently being grown with the blessing of the councils.
Lots of the flowers are planted to highlight the work of the Marie Curie nurses and are called Fields of Hope.
I suggest some of our councillors go and have a look for themselves, also at how clean parts of the province is compared to our town.
