IF you've been inspired by recent hit movie Bend it like Beckham, then this is for you.
For every Saturday morning for eight weeks from April 27 girls aged between eight and 16 years old can join Preston North End Women's Football Club's coaching programme at Preston Sports Arena, Tom Benson Way, aimed at developing and strengthening skills.
Organisers say if you have an interest in football and would like to play the game, the programme provides be an ideal opportunity to participate in small-sided games, football activities and learn new skills regardless of experience or ability.
From 10-11am girls aged eight to 12 can take advantage of the expertise provided by qualified FA coaches representing Preston Women's FC, while 13-16 year olds have the same chance from 11am-noon.
As the practical sessions will be held outdoors on astro-turf, organisers recommend that participants bring suitable clothing and footwear, waterproofs, a towel and plenty to drink.
All coaches are fully insured and hold a current Emergency First Aid Certificate.
Preston North End WFC has obtained funding from Sportsmatch, a government backed scheme, to develop girls' football within the area.
For Preston North End WFC to provide what they hope will be a successful event it is important to have provisional figures and details of the girls attending on the day.
