MUSIC lovers will be dancing in the streets thanks to a new production at the Preston Guild Hall.
Two new productions will be arriving at the city's biggest music venue from next week, leaving fans of Motown classics and rock 'n' roll spoilt for choice.
First up, on Tuesday, April 30, is the colourful and spectacular tribute show Halfway to Paradise: The Billy Fury story.
But this is a tribute show with a difference -- the life of the sixties superstar is told with songs and reminiscences from Fury's original band, the Tornadoes.
And Colin Gold, who shot to fame in ITV's Stars In Their Eyes with his startling portrayal of the star, plays the legendary singer and performs many of the hits that turned him into a legend.
All the classic songs from Halfway to Paradise, Like I've Never Been Gone, I Will and It's Only Make Believe will have his fans rocking in the aisles and dancing all the way home afterwards.
Then, on Thursday, May 2, three living legends of the music world arrive at the Charter Theatre with a one-off show like nothing seen before.
Martha Reeves, famous for hit songs Jimmy Mack and Nowhere To Run, is joined by Edwin Starr (Stop Her On Sight, War) and Freda Payne (Band Of Gold) for the star-studded spectacular Dancing In The Streets.
The show is a unique celebration of Motown's greatest tunes with over two hours of chart-busting songs including some of the biggest world-wide hits.
And the stars are joined by a full supporting company of singers, dancers and the Dancing In The Streets band.
Together these two shows are winning thousands of new followers across the country, and delighting fans old enough to remember the songs the first time round!
Tickets are selling out fast, so book quickly from the Guild Hall Box Office on 258858.
