HEYSHAM rugby league ace Mark Edmondson faces an anxious wait to see if he will play in the biggest game of his career on Saturday.
Edmondson's St Helens side play deadly rivals Wigan in Saturday's challenge cup final at Murrayfield.
Although not included in the initial squad, Edmondson has a chance of making the bench as Saints sweat over the fitness of two key forwards, Mick Higham and John Stankevitch.
The former Vale of Lune rugby union player has been with St Helens for three years and has also represented the England under-21 side.
