FOR one night only, the legendary Ian Hunter will be playing at Burnley Mechanics on Thursday, May 16.
And, for the date just announced, he will be joined for the first time since they were in Mott the Hoople by Bad Company guitarist Mick Ralphs for what promises to be a night to remember.
Hunter is renowned as a songwriter and his live shows are always worth catching, and a two-hour set, backed by the Rant Band, is promised.
Hunter will be performing new songs from his latest album Rant, along with some fans' favourites.
Mott the Hoople lead the way in the Seventies with songs such as All the Young Dudes, written for them by one David Bowie, before finally splitting up in 1979.
Since then Ian Hunter has pursued a successful solo career and has lived in America for over 25 years.
Tickets for the Burnley date are £12.50 in advance at £14.40 on the door. Details are available from the box office on 01282 664400.
