I REFER to the anonymous letter in the Citizen April 11 regarding Coun Callow complaining about Blackpool Zoo making the elephants do circus tricks and comparing it with dancing dogs and poodles with out-of-this-world hair styles at Crufts.
Although I personally do not agree with either, I would respectfully point out that elephants are wild animals and listed under the dangerous wild animals act and dogs are domestic animals.
Crufts is a private club whereas Blackpool Zoo is owned by the people of Blackpool. In this instance, I would suggest the writer complains in writing to Crufts.
