THE controversy surrounding the building of new homes adjacent to Haslingden Cricket Club (LET, April 17) will be hard to resolve.
One would have thought the planners and developers would have foreseen the problem of cricket balls being hit over the boundary wall on match days, or even from the practice nets.
But the sporting facilities were there first. That being so, it should be up to the council or developers to sort out the problem.
K SOWERBUTTS (Mr), Southwood Drive, Baxenden.
