THE two team managers spoke after the game.
David Moyes said: "I'm very disappointed by the way we performed
"We were a couple of notches down from where we should have been and that's why we lost the game.
"We got ourselves back into it in what was probably our only decent spell of the game in that 15 minute period at the start of the second half.
"At that point, we'd given ourselves a chance but then we gifted them a second goal and that was the end of that."
Graeme Souness said: "I thought the first half was a miserable affair between two teams who didn't want to win it.
"But in the second half, we were a bit more aggressive, ran around a bit more, had the best of the chances, got the two goals and I thought we deserved to win it in the end."
