SENT by rail buff Richard Mercer this photograph from the 1960s of British Railways steam engine No. 92010 was taken at the Tanhouse Sidings in Widnes.
But do you know the crew?
For they were all from the long-gone Lower Darwen locomotive shed at Blackburn.
And Richard, secretary of the Widnes Railway Society, is eager for their memories of working the trains that hauled cargoes of the mineral, anhydrite to the Cheshire "chemicals" town where it was used in the manufacture of sulphuric acid.
He wants the railwaymen's recollections for the society's archives and for a rail history book that it is compiling.
"We would love to have their reminiscences on record -- of what they did at Tanhouse and whether they remember any of the men who worked at the sidings," Richard says.
Standing next to the locomotive is the train's guard and in the cab window is driver, Bill Holden, with young fireman Vinny Staffa alongside.
If you can put Richard in touch with any of the trio, let him know at 5 Kipling Crescent, Widnes, WA8 7BT, or call 0151 5100448.
