DARWEN super slimmer Beryl Thomas curried favour with her local Indian restaurant - by winning a meal after losing nearly 4st.
Beryl and her husband Howard, also a member of Darwen Weight Watchers' Club, have been enjoying weekly low-fat curries at Sukhis Indian Cuisine in Blackburn Road, Darwen.
She has now reached her target weight of 10st 7lb and, according to Weight Watchers' leader Lorraine Jones, the couple will be enjoying a low-fat meal on the house courtesy of the restaurant management.
Beryl, 50, of Hesketh Close, received a certificate to mark her 50lb weight loss and now, having lost 55lb to reach her target weight, she has been presented with gold membership. Mrs Jones has asked us to point out that Beryl did not receive a cheque for £55 as the organisation does not reward members with money for losing weight.
