THREE employers from BSN Medical in Brierfield climbed three peaks in less than nine hours to raise funds for Hospice Care for Burnley and Pendle.
Nigel Waring, of Brunshaw Road, Burnley, Steven Cocker, of Gorple Road, Worsthorne, and Craig Holdsworth, of Brownside, Burnley, climbed Pen-Y-Ghent, Whernside and Ingleborough.
Steven, facilities management team leader, said they raised money for the hospice because the company has always supported the charity.
BSN, which supplies medical fabrics, supplied the trio with T-shirts and coats for the challenge and transport to their destination. They also plan to provide some financial support to boost the amount they have raised in sponsorship.
Steven said: "I think we did really well. We finished it in just under nine hours, about eight and three quarters."
"Nigel is the youngest and probably the fittest and he finished first, then it was me and Craig behind me. It went in order of age.
"We set off at 7am on Saturday and after about quarter of an hour I was tired. It made Pendle Hill look like a sleeping policeman.
"When we had finished we all felt like we had achieved something.
"We stopped three times on the way and someone had brought sandwiches for us. So if we hadn't stopped we would probably have done it in eight hours."
The climbers are collecting the sponsorship money but despite hoping to raise about £1,000 for the hospice, they are disappointed that the final total may only be around £500.
