WE have many fixed speed cameras in Blackburn (many of them not yet painted yellow as promised), yet the police are still out in force with their mobile speed cameras instead of getting to grips with the real crime problems of this town.
We have many examples of juvenile crime blighting the lives of law abiding citizens. Infirmary and Ewood, Fishmoor, Mill Hill and Bank Top, all have had their fair share of problems.
When are we going to see some evidence of investment in our police force? When are we going to see police back in our communities?
Sadly, I think that until the government start delivering on their pledges we will see no improvements. In fact, it will only get worse.
PAUL McGURTY, Wharfdale Close, Feniscowles, Blackburn.
