HODDLESDEN poet Pam McKee presented prizes after staging a competition to encourage a love of poetry and prose in primary school children.
She and her writing partner Norman Warwick staged workshops at libraries across Blackburn with Darwen.
The winners read their poems on Radio Lancashire yesterday and received a poetry anthology for their school and a laminated copy of their work.
