TWO venues in Darwen have received an extended licence for revellers to drink longer into Bank Holiday Monday.
Privilege Night Club, Market Street, will be open for an hour longer until 2am, while its feeder pub, Bar Java, in Wellington Fold, will be shut at 12.30am.
Joint marketing manager Bernard Coupe said: "The nightlife in Darwen has bags of potential and there are some excellent opportunities with both venues for some spectacular and innovative promotions.
"I'm keeping my cards close to my chest for the time being, but suffice to say we are planning some spectacular events and drinks promotions which will start this bank holiday weekend.
"Bar Java will be giving away special pub-to-club discounts throughout the whole weekend to give customers not only the best value for money but also the best night out that Darwen has to offer."
