TEENAGERS in Wigan and Leigh who will soon be taking their GCSEs are being offered money to stay on at school or college.
Some 3,500 of this year's 16-year-old school leavers have been sent a leaflet explaining the government's Education Maintenance Allowances.
Eligible students could qualify for £30 a week in term time, a further £80 at the end of term for good attendance and £140 on successful completion of the course.
