TWENTY new jobs will be created in Colne this week when a Marks & Spencer Outlet shop opens its doors within the Boundary Mill Stores.
The new development is the 11th in the group's expanding chain of Outlet shops and the first in the country to operate within another store.
It will trade from a 5,000 square foot unit within Boundary Mill and sell clothing for men, women and children.
The Marks & Spencer Outlet shop will be officially opened at 10am tomorrow and have the same opening hours as the Boundary Mill Stores.
Richard Bannister, managing director of Boundary Mill Stores, said he was delighted and described the new addition to the Colne store as a 'fantastic development'.
He said: "Boundary Mill Stores is renowned for offering top brand quality goods at discount prices.
"The inclusion of Marks & Spencer Outlet within the store enables us to extend this service with one of the most recognised and respected brands in retailing."
Michael Stanier, head of Marks & Spencer Outlet, said: "Boundary Mill Stores is an extremely successful and professionally-run store, attracting customers from a large catchment area."
"Our involvement will be further confirmation of the company's investment and commitment in the North West".
Eighty-four jobs were created at Boundary Mill 18 months ago when a massive extension was opened, linking the clothing and glass and china stores.
