A £70,000 play area refurbishment has been completed at St Mary's Park in Prestwich.
One of the new attractions is a four-metre high "space frame", one of the biggest in Britain.
Teachers and pupils from local schools and members of the Phoenix Youth Centre came to watch the gates to the play area being opened by the Mayor, Cllr Paul Nesbitt.
