CLARETS top scorer Gareth Taylor has retained his pace in the Wales squad for the prestigious friendly against Germany at the Millennium Stadium on May 14.
The 29-year-old finished the season with a best ever haul of 16 goals, including the winner against Coventry City on the last day of the season, and he won his ninth cap against the Czech Republic back in March.
Taylor admitted: "I have kept myself ticking over since the end of the season in the hope of being in the squad.
"I think I did okay when I came on in the last game and I would love to be involved again. I am fresh as I did not start m any games near the end of the season and you don't lose your fitness in a couple of weeks. I just hope to get the chance to play."
Taylor's is the second Burnley player to receive an international call-up this week following Nik Michopoulos's recall to the Greek squad.
