A TEAM of young stylists are hoping to prove they can cut it after organising a photographic shoot as part of their entry in a national hairdressing competition.
Nereace Coad and Vicki Southern, from Haslingden, and Charlotte Smith, from Bacup, set up the shoot at Rawtenstall's Horncliffe Mansion to showcase their style for the competition run by haircare giant Tigi.
The winner of the competition will see their style on the front cover of Hairflair magazine.
Haslingden High School and Blackburn College student Nereace, 23, organised the day with former school pal and Rossendale-based photographer Karen Dexter, also 23.
Nereace, who works alongside Vicki and Charlotte at the John Peers salon, in Square Street, Ramsbottom, said: "The shoot seemed the best way to show our styles and use Karen's talents at the same time, while the models also enjoyed the experience.
"The end results look fantastic and I really hope they stand out and are good enough to win the competition, because the winner will get their design published on the front cover of Hairflair magazine.
"If I won, it would be a great achievement for everyone else involved. Who knows what it could lead to."
The photographs were taken using local models Lilly Lancaster, Rebecca Clarke and Damien Sweeney.
