THE circus has come to town and jugglers, acrobats and death-defying stunts will be on offer in Blackburn.
Uncle Sam's American Circus rolled into Witton Park until Bank Holiday Monday.
With its entourage of 12 gas guzzling American trucks, 52 staff and 20 different acts - none with animals circus organisers say the whole experience will be bigger, louder and more exciting than anything English audiences have seen.
And organisers say the whole event, including its is performed without any safety wires or nets.
Ringmaster Gavin Brand said: "The show opens with the Wheel of Death, which is incredibly dangerous and then it is just non-stop action from then on.
"There isn't another circus in Britain that can compare with us. My people have no wires and no safety nets. They rely entirely upon skill."
Acts include seven acrobats on a giant bike, a Cuban juggler who uses knives and batons, and a native American hula hoop act.
Performances are at 5pm and 7.30pm each weekday; 2.30pm and 6pm on Saturday and 2pm and 4.30pm on Sunday at 2pm and 4.30pm and on Bank Holiday.
