I WOULD like to say "Well said" to Mr N H Farrimond for what he said in your paper on March 21 with reference to the Council Tax.

I don't know how this council works but if they stopped paying for the scroungers that come to Blackpool when the season starts things would not be so bad and they would have enough in the system to save putting the price up so much. Mine has gone up an extra £11 per month which Tony Blair says it didn't need to go up that much as the Government supplied them with enough to cover.

We will have the beggars on the streets again and what do we get for our £700 per year? One dustbin emptied per week and the streets are filthy.

There is only so much the working class can take. If it goes up much more we would be as well on benefits and not paying our bills.
