THREE female friends are unwittingly drawn into a scenario of violence and revenge when one of them is attacked in the home they share.
The incident reveals the cracks in their relationships, exposing the fragility of the society that protects them.
Extremities by William Mastrosimone is a disturbing play which poses the question: "Do extremes of behaviour justify extreme reactions?"
The play is being staged by Blackburn Theatre Workshop, an amateur group celebrating its 25th anniversary this year, at Darwen Library Theatre on Friday and Saturday, May 17 and 18, at 7.30pm.
Blackburn Theatre Workshop is supported by Blackburn with Darwen Arts Council and the play has been produced by special arrangement with Samuel French Inc. The group has liaised with the Victim Support service over the production of Extremities, which contains strong language and swearing and is not suitable for children.
Tickets, £5 each (£3.50 concessions) are available from the box office on 01254 706006.
