MEMBERS of Mosaic, an organisation for businesswomen in Bury and Bolton, have been honing their business-building skills at a half-day workshop on goal-setting.
The event was sponsored by Barclays Bank and the workshop delivered by Mosaic member Ruth Slater of AVL Human Resources and Training.
Ruth stressed the importance of setting goals and demonstrated what must be done to harness a knowledge base and to use it to achieve both business and personal success.
An interactive session on the types of goals needed to create the right environment, and the importance of freeing the mind from negative, restrictive beliefs, also took place.
Membership of Mosaic now exceeds 200. Regular monthly presentation and networking meetings are wide and varied, covering such topics as finance, health, communication skills and a wealth of subjects of interest to businesses in general and businesswomen in particular.
Barclays was represented by Bury-based Mike Hill, its head of local business for North West Manchester, and colleague Eileen Murphy, corporate relations manager for Bolton.
Mike has a sound knowledge of business-building tools such as goal-setting and has been a loyal and enthusiastic supporter of Mosaic almost since the group's inception in 1997.
