A group of young dancers from the Heysham School of Dance will see their dreams come true when they perform at the famous Her Majesty's Theatre in London on Sunday.
Heysham School will join six other dance schools from around the country to take part in the Mardi Gras show "The Stars" In Our Eyes.
The 35 Heysham dancers will be performing two routines choreographed by principle Lisa Salem with costume design by two of the dancer's mothers, Debbie Johnson and Angela Raby.
A third mother, Fiona Simpson, has been responsible for a series of events to raise funds for the costumes.
Producer Colin Jeffries, of Mardi Gras Promotions, the organisation responsible for staging the event says: "'The Stars' In Our Eyes shows provide children with a genuine opportunity to perform in front of capacity crowds at prestigious venues such as Her Majesty's, Royal Albert Hall and Sadler's Wells Theatre.
Our aim is to encourage children to enjoy dance and performing whether as a hobby or as a potential profession.
We are delighted that more than 10,000 children of varied abilities will be able to take part in these shows throughout the year."
