A beer-bellied pervert wearing a latex mask followed a teenager in his car and then stopped to flash at her on Tuesday night.
The 18-year-old local woman was walking along St George's Quay, Lancaster, at around 8.30pm when she noticed a blue Ford Mondeo car following her.
The car was seen to turn around in a side street, then approached the woman again, this time parking in a bay close to the junction with Lune Road, which she would have to walk past.
The driver stepped out of the car, wearing only the mask, which covered his face and head and was said to resemble an old man, and a waist length jacket.
The woman, concerned for her safety, shouted for help and the flasher got back into the car and left the scene.
Det Sgt Mark Salisbury of Lancaster Police said: " The victim was left shocked and shaken by her ordeal.
She felt very threatened when she realised the car was following her and when she saw that the man was wearing a mask she became concerned about what his motives might be."
The man is described as white, 6ft tall, in his late 40s or early 50s, of medium build but with a large beer belly.
His jacket was dark and zipped up at the front.
The car's registration number is AK51 FAF.
Police are currently trying to contact the vehicle's owner as part of their ongoing enquiries.
