MR Miles' letter (April 12) on the EU was very interesting. Of course it is "our money" and we are glad to be fully paid up members of the EU.
We could have had more during the 1980s and 1990s, but the Tory Government would not match EU funds. Instead, we had more than ten per cent unemployment, which is now down to five per cent.
Would our MEPs please tell us more about our 300 million partners in this great modern enterprise? All we get from the Tory press are stories of a far off land where greed, inequality, gun culture and international intrigue seem to thrive.
Because of our reluctance to join the euro, France is now the biggest recipient of foreign investment. Does Mr Miles wish that to continue?
